Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, accompanied by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif, visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here on Tuesday and inquired after the health of people injured in the R.A. Bazaar suicide attack. But neither they nor any other dignitary visited parents of two students who had died in the same blast to comfort them.
The two students, Mubashir Mushtaq, 19, and Mohammad Zubair, 20, were going to college when they were hit by the terror blast.
Mohammad Riaz, a relative of Zubair, said that neither PML-N leaders nor any other politician arrived to share the grief of the family of Zubair.
The family is in distress and needs words of sympathy and consolation at the moment.
Mohammd Fayyaz, an uncle of Mubashir, said that parents of the boy were in a state of shock and his mother has not eaten anything since hearing about her son’s death.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on the occasion that the nation was united in the fight against terrorism and such attacks would not lower its morale.
He said the personnel of the armed forces had rendered great sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the nation was proud of them.
“Those who have sacrificed their lives today for ensuring a better tomorrow for our future generations are our benefactors,” the prime minister said.
