U.S. scientists have found that many popular cosmetics contain potentially toxic chemicals that can increase the risk of developing serious diseases. The study was conducted by experts from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. OTHER POST

These are per - and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which are contained in cosmetics, said in an article published in Environmental Science & Technology letters.

In total, experts tested more than 200 popular cosmetics, including foundations, eyelash and eyebrow products, lipsticks. The results showed that 56% of foundations and eye cosmetics, 48% of lipsticks and 47% of mascara contain a large amount of fluoride, which indicates the use of pfas-substances.
